Fiber optic dip probe for direct in-situ analysis

Fiber Optic Dip Probes
for UV-Vis Spectroscopy

The fiber optic transmission dip probe is the most popular sampling accessory for use with the 400 Series spectrophotometers. Our exclusive design includes dedicated illumination fibers for high intensity deuterium and tungsten sources for uncompromised light throughput allowing for signal optimization and rapid analysis.

Dip probes are unique allowing for direct measurements of solutions and eliminate the need to transfer sample to traditional cuvettes for liquid measurements.

Unlike fragile quartz cuvettes, dip probes are exceedingly rugged. They are constructed of stainless steel body and incorporate quartz optics providing wavelength coverage from 190 nm - 980 nm. This durable construction is ideal for both industrial environments and are essentially student proof from damage when used in university teaching labs. The ability to measure in-situ directly in solution also helps to expedite analysis and avoid solution transfers thus reducing time in the lab.

A 1.0 cm pathlength dip probe is offered as a standard option included with all new system purchases and can also be purchased separately.

0.2, 0.5, and 1.0 cm optical path lengths are available as well as extended cable lengths necessary for meeting your application needs.
